|December 11, 2007||I have updated a couple of outdated links, and added a link to my AIF tutorial on the page where I compare NewKid's and Sir Gareth's libraries. Speaking of which, the work on this tutorial is continuing, but it will probably not be until sometime in the new year when I finish the NewKid portion.|
|December 4, 2007||While working on the NewKid's Chick.T portion of my AIF Tutorial, I noticed that the CHICK.ZIP file I've been hosting on my website is missing the CHATTER.T module. I don't know how long this has been missing, but I apologize to anyone who downloaded it from my site and then had problems with it. I have corrected this, and a new copy of CHICK.ZIP is now available from my files page.|
|November 15, 2007||Storm Ninjablade pointed out that within my TADS AIF Tutorial there is a mistake. In Appendix A, I have a complete listing for my NPC. That listing contains two verbs within her verblist property that aren't documented as having been added within the tutorial. He is/was correct - I added them while testing and forgot to document the addition. That has been corrected in the latest version of the Tutorial hosted here, along with one or two other typos that I discovered over the past couple of weeks. Thanks Storm!|
|October 24, 2007||I have again updated my TADS AIF Tutorial to correct some accidental misinformation regarding "wearmessages" and to include some additional troubleshooting information when using TADS dark rooms and light sources.|
|October 15, 2007||I have updated my TADS AIF Tutorial to correct some typos and "Editor Note" comments that I accidentally left in. I also updated my links page to remove some now dead links (such as Chris Cole's website), and also update some moved websites (such as Webmonkey).|
|October 10, 2007||I have finally finished my TADS 2 AIF Tutorial - at least part 1 (of 2). This covers writing a short AIF game using TADS 2 and Sir Gareth's Sex.t library files - from game design up through character creation, including sexual interaction. The files are in HTML format for easy access. It is available from my files page.|
|October 2, 2007||Well, it has been a couple of months since my last update, and I've been relatively busy since then. I'm currently working on a collaborative game with a couple of other authors. It is going pretty slow, but we'll hopefully have something by the new year or soon after. At the same time, I have dusted off an AIF Tutorial that I started a couple of years ago. It describes using TADS 2 along with either Sir Gareth's or NewKid's libraries to create an AIF game. I have have been haphazardly working on it for a while, but I decided to finally finish at least part one and get it out in the AIF world. I hope to have it finished by the end of this month. After that, I'll begin part two, which will hopefully not take another couple of years to complete!|
|July 16, 2007||Now that the 2006 AIF Awards winners page has been updated, I have updated my games page to display the graphics for the award which I won. (Click on the Golden Erin next to "Bob's Garage" to see the graphic.) I also added my 2006 Badman Lifetime Achievement award to this page. Click on the graphic at the bottom of the menu to the left to see the full-size version.|
|June 6, 2007||Wow! Two updates in a single day! I'm actually feeling a bit faint from the excitement! I have added the ability to play my small Inform game, Bob's Garage online. Just as with my other online game, Last Minute Gift, this game uses a Java interpreter to play the game.|
|June 6, 2007||That's it! I'm waving the white flag! It is now almost 2 years since I first started work on my "Super Friends" game, and I still haven't finished it. In fact, I have hardly done anything on it in the last 2-3 months. I have to face it - it is never going to get finished. The game just didn't work out. So, I'm moth-balling it, and shoving it into the corner with the other games that I never finished. Possibly, you'll see bits and pieces in other games I release in the future, which is usually what happens to games I start and never finish.|

Awards ceremony has just transpired. Congratulations to all of the winners, especially
GoblinBoy. I'd like to thank everyone who voted for Bob's Garage, which won an award for
Best Short Game.
